How do I book a Session?
1. Choose your Alt Touch Specialist.
2. Book a free Meet and Greet either in person at our Session Room or choose Virtual Meet & Greet for a scheduled video chat via Zoom.
3. Book your Session.
What goes on during a session?
Your Alt Touch Specialist will have many ideas, from cuddling up on the double wide extended sofa, to just holding hands and talking. Some of our clients like to snuggle talk, while others prefer just being caressed in silence. You might even watch a movie, which is great because we have a projector in the room that turns half the wall into a cinema like experience with surround sound and thousands of movie, tv shows and sporting events to choose from.
What if I become aroused?
Don't worry, it's normal. We understand that it's usually not indicative of your mental experience. So while sexual activity of any kind is never permitted, physical arousal shouldn't make you feel uncomfortable. If it happens, you can take a break or change positions if you would like.
Where do we snuggle and are there options?
All Sessions take place in our state of the art Session Rooms. You may choose which address you prefer as long as the Specialist you are booking with has that location available. If you have any questions or would like to see if a Touch Therapy Specialist can accommodate a specific location, date and time, please feel free to contact us.
Can I fall asleep?
Yes, of course. If sleeping is something you enjoy as part of your cuddle therapy, then go right ahead.
Should I tip?
Tips are always appreciated but never expected.
What clothing should I choose for my session?
You may wear anything that you find comfortable as long as it covers you from the neck to a few inches above the knees. A minimum limit of shorts and a t-shirt is required for BOTH people. We recommend loose-fitting clothing, but you should wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Pajamas are one good example of a comfortable choice. As a platonic company service, we will not allow anything less than the stated minimum.
What will the Alt Touch Specialist be wearing?
They will be wearing an official Alt Touch Shirts and usually leggings or sweats.
How much is an Alt Touch Specialist?
It costs $80/hour for a Professionally Trained and Certified Alternative Touch Therapy Specialist. You can add increments of 30 minutes to a full hour after the first initial hour of your session.
How does the first meeting work?
First time clients must schedule a FREE Meet and Greet with an Alt Touch Specialist before ordering a session. Meet and Greets and Sessions can be scheduled in our Session Studio, virtually via video link, or at a mutably agreed upon public space . Sessions are booked in the privacy of our Session Room located at 6477 W Fairview Ave Ste E Boise ID 83704. Please select the Session Room add on to your appointment to reserve it.
An Alt Touch Specialist didn't respond, why?
Our professional Snugglists on our platform have a choice of who they accept as clients and occasionally this choice will come down to gut feeling. This flexibility is important to the Snugglists as we don't vet members on this website. If you have already paid for the session on the site, you will receive a refund.
What's your cancellation policy?
You can cancel without issue up to 12 hours before a session begins.
If you cancel within 12 hours of the appointment, we ask that you pay half of the session price.
This is to compensate the Alt Touch Specialist for lost business as it’s unlikely they would be able to find another client for that scheduled period at such short notice. This is to compensate the Alt Touch Specialist for what would otherwise be a tangible financial loss. If you just don’t show up and want another session in the future, you must prepay for the next session online AND pay a $40 cancellation fee.
What is your privacy policy?
Your privacy is very important to us. No information is shared in any way without your consent ( example: Testimonials and Summited Session Surveys)
Is there a client agreement?
All customers must sign an agreement agreeing that no sexual activity of any sort with an Alt Touch Specialist will take place. We are unable to provide services for anyone unable to agree to the terms or under the age of 18.
How is payment handled?
Payment is made before the session using an online payment method or in person with cash. We accept PayPal, credit card, debit card and cash. (No checks)
Can I talk during my session?
Talking is completely up to you. Our Alt Touch Specialist would be happy to listen and have a conversation with you if you so choose.
Do we have to only snuggle?
Our Alt Touch Specialist are there for you and will do what it takes to bring you happiness through platonic companionship. You can give each other massages, play games, talk, watch a movie, or anything you want as long as it stays platonic.
What training do your Alt Touch Specialist receive?
All of our Alt Touch Specialist are trained and certified. We only hire caring individuals that want to do this profession to help others. We have an extensive certification program that requires extensive training that covers things like The Science of Touch, Touch and Healing, Boundaries and Ethics, and of course plenty of practical cuddle time.
Is hugging a therapy?
It is considered to be an option therapy labeled as tactile sensation therapy. It is also synonymous with the phrases, professional person cuddling and professional snuggling. Read about the health benefit of tactual sensation therapy by clicking on Benefits.
What is your policy regarding hygiene?
We ask that you shower within 2 hours before the session. We also ask that you avoid annoying amounts of fragrance and cologne . Our Alt Touch Specialist will be doing the same.
What if I become uncomfortable or want to withdraw consent?
You are free to stop the session at any time for any reason.
